BounceTexting is the process by which BouncePhone matches you and other members with similar interests to chat with and mingle through text messaging.

You can BounceText anywhere at anytime. All you need is your cell phone and the ability to send text messages.

How do I join?

Does anyone see my phone number?
No, privacy is extremely important to us. Your phone number is encrypted and never seen by anyone. When you BounceText with someone they will only see your screen name. All text messages will come from our short code 99899.

How do I move on to a new person when I'm BounceTexting?
At any time reply with or text in the the word BOUNCE to 99899 and you will be matched with a new person.

How do I see pictures of the person I am BounceTexting with?
You can log in to BouncePhone.com and look at the log of your Bounce sessions on your home page. This will show you the profiles and conversation you had with everyone you've BounceTexted with.
You can also reply with the word PROFILE, or text the word PROFILE to 99899. You will receive a text message with their info and a link to their profile on BouncePhone.com.

Can I block someone from BounceTexting with me?
Yes, at any time text in the word BLOCK followed by the user name you want to block, it will block you from BounceTexting or receiving messages from this person indefinitely.
To unblock, text UNBLOCK followed by the user name.
Even if you don't BLOCK someone you will not be matched to BounceText with the same person more than once in 24 hours.

How do I BounceText with the exact kind of people I want?
Once you have joined BouncePhone you can text in the word BOUNCE followed by key words relating to the kind of people you want to BounceText with (you can also include age, gender and area codes to search for people by location).

At any time text in the word BOUNCE and you will immediately be me matched to BounceText with others.

How do cancel my account?
Just text in the word STOP (or CANCEL if your carrier is Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile) and you will no longer be BounceTexting. This will de-activate your account in the system.
If you just want to temporarily stop bouncing and keep your account, text the word PAUSE (see above FAQ: How do I pause BounceTexting?).

What is a Bounce Circle?
A Bounce Circle is a user created circle based on interest or location (i.e. school, nightclub, sporting event, shared interests etc). Once you join a Bounce Circle you will only BounceText with others who have also joined that circle.

How do I use a Bounce Circle?
Every Bounce Circle has it's own code designed to make the name quicker to type in- for example, the circle StanfordStudents might have the code: STN.
To use a Bounce Circle, type the letters BC followed by the Bounce Circle's name or code. So to use StanfordStudents circle (code: STN), either text:
BC StanfordStudents (no spaces between words in BounceCircle name.)
or
BC STN
to 99899. You will then start BounceTexting with others in that circle.

To leave a Bounce Circle and BounceText with the general BouncePhone population, type the command LeaveCircle or LC to 99899.
